I am teaching a summer college class for Baker University. It is open to Lee’s Summit School District employees.
Here are the details on the class:

Building an Electronic File Cabinet of Thinking Strategies
2 Credit Hours
Kristen Wimberly – Instructor
This course is designed for teachers who are looking for an electronic way of organizing thinking strategy resources. Students in this class will be provided the necessary knowledge, resources and opportunity to research and gather then record thinking strategy resources electronically. Thinking strategies are necessary to implement a comprehensive reading and writing literacy model. Instead of printing and recording resources in a traditional file folder or binder, students will build an electronic file cabinet for easy access. Students will need a basic understanding of computer skills and a basic understanding of the 7 thinking strategies. Students will post their favorite resources on a blog provided and share with peers.
Dates: July 27-31, 2009 Time: 8:30 – 2:30 (a working lunch is a component to this class) Location: Longview Farm Elementary, Library Media Center
